3 DIY Foot Soak Recipes

If you’re on your feet all day, it can be so worth it to relieve the stress that builds up in the muscles, joints and bones of your feet after long hours without a break. Cracked, dry skin on one’s heels or the balls of your feet can get painful throughout the winter, if not taken care of regularly. Treat yourself to one of these easy, DIY at-home foot soaks to soften and heal the skin of your feet, as well as generally give them some tender love & care.

#1: Mix together 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of milk, 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, and a sprinkle of Cinnamon. Mix well, add to water, and enjoy – will leave your feet feeling super soft and nourished.

#2: Steep 4 bags of chamomile tea in 1 gallon of hot water for 10 minuets, then mix in 4 drops of the essential oil of your choice (we recommend peppermint, lemon, orange or eucalyptus). Put some marbles or smooth stones on the bottom of the basin for an extra relaxing mini foot massage!

#3: Mix 1 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of epsom salts and the contents of 3-4 peppermint tea bags. Use a couple of tablespoons of this mixture in a gallon of warm water for a soothing and refreshing foot soak to cleanse and strengthen the skin of your feet.

Remember to moisturize your feet afterwards with a nourishing natural body oil or moisturizer to trap all that clean goodness and keep your skin soft throughout the day!
